Homeopathy FAQs: honest answers to the questions I'm asked most

The questions every new client asks — answered plainly, including the ones with uncomfortable answers.

Is homeopathy safe?

Homeopathic remedies are highly diluted and non-toxic, and are generally considered safe to take, including alongside prescribed medication. The important safety rule is about what homeopathy is not: it is not a replacement for medical diagnosis or treatment. I will never advise you to stop prescribed medication, and for new, severe or urgent symptoms your GP or NHS 111 comes first.

Does homeopathy work?

Honest answer: the scientific evidence is contested, and the NHS does not commission homeopathy. What I can tell you is what I see in my practice after 27 years, and what my clients report in their own words on my testimonials page. Many people come to homeopathy when other avenues have left them stuck, and choose it because they feel treated as a whole person. I would rather you arrive with open eyes and judge by your own experience.

How long until I notice a change?

It varies enormously. Acute complaints can shift quickly — sometimes within hours or days. Long-standing, chronic patterns usually take months of work, with remedies reviewed and adjusted at follow-ups. As a rule of thumb, the longer something has been part of you, the longer it takes to unwind.

How many consultations will I need?

A first consultation, then follow-ups roughly every four to six weeks while we work. Some people come for one acute episode; many stay for a season of deeper work; some families keep me on hand for years. You are never signed up to anything — we review as we go.

Can I take homeopathic remedies alongside my medication?

Yes. Remedies are taken alongside conventional medication, and any change to prescribed medicine is a decision for you and your prescriber, never for me. I always take a full drugs history so I know exactly what you are taking.

Do you see clients outside North London?

Yes — I consult by WhatsApp video and FaceTime for clients outside London and abroad, and for regulars when I am travelling. Remedies are posted to you. In-person consultations are in North London, by appointment.

What does a consultation cost?

Please call me on 07956 217 276 for current fees — a first consultation is longer than a follow-up and priced accordingly, and I will tell you both numbers before you book anything.

If your question isn’t here, ask it directly — call or email me, or start with what to expect from a first consultation.

Homeopathy is a complementary approach: it sits alongside, and never replaces, the care of your GP or hospital team. If you have new, severe or worrying symptoms, please see your doctor or call NHS 111 first — and keep taking any prescribed medication unless your prescriber tells you otherwise.

Please feel free to contact me today on 07956 217 276 to discuss how I can help you. I also consult by WhatsApp video and FaceTime.
